- Comment: New draft. More sources, including a recent one from Sweden's second largest daily newspaper, as well as an academic paper.
- Comment: The first source doesn't exist, or at least is incorrectly cited. The others include Wikipedia, which cannot be cited as a source on Wikipedia, and various primary sources which contribute nothing towards notability. - Comment: Pretty much the same reason why Zxcvbnm rejected it prior. This article doesn't seem to pass WP:NBIO, and citing Wikipedia is not acceptable per WP:UGC. Per Eskil Linus Tolke, born 15 January 1966, is a Swedish systems architect.[1][2]
Tolke's significance in the history of information technology and the development of the Internet in Sweden, refers to his early days pioneering roles. From contributions to early computer gaming, to the creation of the first Swedish website.
He is considered co-founder of Swedish Wikipedia in 2001 in the capacity as systems architect, together with Dan Koehl as first system operator.[3][4][5][6][7][8][9]
Biography
[edit]Besides early interest in computers, Tolke has also been active as a certified amateur radio operator with call sign "SM5OUU" since 1983.[1][10][11]
Tolke studied at the Institute of Technology at Linköping University 1985–1994. In 1991, Linus Tolke created SvenskMud, a Swedish version of the text-based multiplayer real-time virtual world Multi-user dungeon.[12][13] At university, he was active in its academic computer club Lysator.[14][15] An association which created "Spinner", the first Swedish website in 1993, and estimated as one of the first 10-15 web servers in the world.
In early 2001, subsequent to the founding of the original Wikipedia in English, Jimmy Wales was in e-mail contact with Linus Tolke, an English-language contibutor, about a possible Swedish language version. A decision made around April 2001.[16] Swedish Wikipedia went online on sv.wikipedia.com 23 May 2001 as Wikipedia's 4th[citation needed] language version.[17][18][19][circular reference][20] The initial prototype "Phase I" UseModWiki for sv.wikipedia.com was translated in May 2001 by Linus Tolke, who also tested around with a few short articles, before the contemporary "Phase III" MediaWiki platform for sv.wikipedia.org went online in November 2002 by co-founder Dan Koehl as first system operator, and community founder.[4][21][22]
