Draft:Lamiae Ettayea

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lamiae Ettayea (born 2 November 1988 in Rabat, Morocco) is a clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist. Her professional experience includes clinical psychology, neuropsychology, cognitive and memory assessment, disability research and health psychology.

Education

[edit]

In 2013, Ettayea completed a university dissertation on manic-depressive disorders under the supervision of Professor Jean-Jacques Rassial.

In 2018, she obtained a master's degree in clinical psychology, psychopathology and health psychology at the University of Toulouse.[1]

She subsequently pursued university training in neuropsychology and memory.

In 2024, she obtained an inter-university diploma in normal memory and memory disorders (Mémoire normale et pathologies de la mémoire) from the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne. During her training and work in the field of memory, she worked with Frédéric Blanc.

In 2026, she obtained a university diploma in pain management (Prise en charge de la douleur) from the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne.

Career

[edit]

Sciences Po

[edit]

From 2019 to 2020, Ettayea worked as a clinician-researcher in the disability programme at Sciences Po in Paris.[2]

During this period, she participated in work concerning disability and theatrical improvisation. She was among the authors of Transcending Boundaries: Theatrical Improvisation and Disability, presented at the 2nd International Conference on Disability Studies, Arts and Education in Philadelphia in 2019.[3]

Neuropsychology and memory

[edit]

From 2020, Ettayea worked in neuropsychology in Paris, including at the Centre d'investigation préventive et clinique (IPC).[1]

She worked for four years as a neuropsychologist conducting cognitive and memory screening among adults aged over 45.

Her work took place in the broader context of research into cognitive ageing. The French CONSTANCES cohort - INSERM includes, for some participants aged 45 and over, functional examinations conducted by neuropsychologists. These examinations assess cognitive abilities including memory, attention, reasoning, executive functions and verbal fluency.[4]

The cognitive ageing research programme within CONSTANCES includes the establishment of neuropsychological norms for adults aged 45 and over and research into cognitive ageing and age-related neurodegenerative diseases.[5]

Research using CONSTANCES data has examined the influence of age, sex and education on the cognitive performance of participants aged 45 to 75.[6]

CONSTANCES was established as a large French population-based epidemiological cohort. In 2013, Inserm described it as a major population-based epidemiological cohort project in France.[7]

In 2015, Inserm reported that the cohort included more than 65,000 volunteers and involved numerous research projects concerning health and ageing.[8]

Memory research and neurodegenerative diseases

[edit]

Ettayea's professional work in neuropsychology has included the assessment of memory and other cognitive functions in adults.

Her training and professional work in memory and neuropsychology form part of a broader French research field concerning cognitive ageing, cognitive impairment and neurodegenerative diseases.

The MEMENTO cohort is a French multicentre clinical cohort involving memory clinics. It includes neuropsychological, imaging and biological assessments and investigates markers and determinants associated with cognitive impairment and dementia.[9]

Frédéric Blanc is an author of several studies arising from the MEMENTO cohort, including a 2022 study concerning prodromal characteristics of dementia with Lewy bodies.[10]

Blanc also contributed to research concerning associations between hypertension, dementia biomarkers and cognition using MEMENTO cohort data.[11]

Health psychology research

[edit]

In 2023, Ettayea co-authored a study published in Preventive Medicine Reports examining how French adults judged the possibility that different physical manifestations could indicate a heart attack.[12]

The study examined judgments by 194 French adults and six physicians concerning combinations of physical manifestations associated with a possible heart attack.[12]

Mon soutien psy

[edit]

Ettayea participates in Mon soutien psy, a programme established by the French Health Insurance system to provide access to consultations with participating psychologists.[13]

The programme provides an official directory of psychologists participating in the scheme.[14]

Professional practice

[edit]

Since 2024, Ettayea has practised as a clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist in Reims.[1]

Her professional activities include psychological consultations and cognitive and neuropsychological assessment.
