Kyleigh Sand is an American professional softball infielder. She played college softball for the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns and the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, where she set the Rutgers all-time career records for batting average (.396) and runs scored (165). [edit]Sand began her collegiate career at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2021. As a freshman, she appeared in 13 games, making one start, and recorded two hits and three runs scored.[2]
Rutgers (2022–2024)
[edit]Sand transferred to Rutgers University for her sophomore season in 2022, starting all 55 games at shortstop. She led the team with a .398 batting average—the highest for a Scarlet Knight since 2011—along with 68 hits, 49 runs, and 23 stolen bases.
