King TTM (born May 23, 1993) is an American rapper and songwriter from Greenville, Texas. He is known for blending Southern hip hop, horrorcore, and chopped and screwed influences in his music.[1]

Early life

Treyashton Stephenson was born and raised in Greenville, Texas. He developed an interest in music during childhood, recording freestyle rap sessions with his older brother, Markus Stephenson.

Stephenson attended Greenville High School, graduating in 2011. He later attended Full Sail University, earning a bachelor's degree in 2020.

His musical influences include Master P, Tupac Shakur, Z-Ro, Eminem, Tech N9ne, Lil Wayne, and Ace Hood.

Career

Stephenson began recording music around 2006 using Cool Edit Pro 2.0.[2]

In 2011, he officially launched his music career and joined the music collective YSK, founded by Marcus Harrison, also known as King Harrison YSK.[3]

That same year, King TTM released his debut mixtape, Prince of Darkness, inspired by Tech N9ne's K.O.D. album.[4]

Over the following years, he released multiple independent projects including the Scary Christmas series, Vian, 3Slime, and Da Morgue.[5]

His music gained online attention through remixes of mainstream songs and collaborations with underground Southern hip hop artists.

King TTM has performed throughout the United States, including appearances at events hosted by DJ Michael 5000 Watts.

In 2011, he won a Coast 2 Coast Mixtapes competition.[6]

Musical style

King TTM's music combines elements of Southern hip hop, horrorcore, gangsta rap, and Texas chopped and screwed culture. He has cited DJ Screw as a major influence on his artistic development.

Personal life

Stephenson has stated that becoming a father significantly influenced his personal outlook and career direction. Outside of music, he has participated in charitable efforts including helping feed homeless individuals in various cities.
