Kat Robichaud (born 1983) is an American singer, songwriter, and performer known for her theatrical rock style and for founding the San Francisco-based performance series Misfit Cabaret. [1] She gained national attention as a contestant on The Voice (American TV series) season 5.[2] [3] She later became active in the San Francisco music and performance scene, where she developed a distinctive style blending rock music with theatrical and cabaret influences. [4] [5]

[edit]Kat was born in Concord, North Carolina and earned a bachelor's degree in graphic design from North Carolina State University.[6]
Career

[edit]She was the lead singer, songwriter and rhythm guitarist of a band called The Design for seven years.
The Voice (2013)
[edit]Robichaud rose to prominence as a member of Team CeeLo Green on season 5 of The Voice. Her performances on the show were noted for their dramatic presentation and vocal style. She advanced to the live rounds before being eliminated, gaining national media attention through coverage in outlets such as Entertainment Weekly and Today. [7][8]

Misfit Cabaret (2015-)
[edit]Following her appearance on The Voice, Robichaud continued releasing original music and performing live. She has fronted the band Kat Robichaud and the Darling Misfits and has released albums and singles that incorporate elements of glam rock, alternative rock, and theatrical performance. She is the co-creator and host of Misfit Cabaret, a recurring live performance show based in San Francisco. The show combines music, drag, burlesque, and theatrical acts, and has been described as part of the city’s alternative arts scene.[1]
