Kat Leyh is an American comics writer and artist. She is known for her work on Lumberjanes, as well as the graphic novels Snapdragon and Thirsty Mermaids.
Career

[edit]In 2014, Leyh wrote SuperCakes, a webcomic about two superheroines, one with super-strength and another with the ability to transform into vapor, who are in a relationship.[1][2][3] The series begin as a minicomic called Pancakes.[2][4] It received a print release through Yeti Press in 2015.[5]
She is a co-writer and cover artist for Lumberjanes.[6] She has also written for Bravest Warriors.[7]
Graphic novels
[edit]In 2020, Leyh published Snapdragon, a fantasy graphic novel about a young girl named Snapdragon who befriends a local woman who is rumored to be a witch.[8][9] An animated project based on the book was announced in 2024.[10]
In 2021, Leyh released Thirsty Mermaids, a fantasy comedy focusing on a trio of mermaids who transform themselves into humans only to discover they cannot turn back.[11][12]
