Karim Potter

[edit]

Karim Potter, also known online as karimpotter2010, is a software developer, game developer, and music producer. His work includes independent software development, video game creation, and music composition for films, animation, and video games.

Early life and computing

[edit]

Karim Potter began using computers in 2005 on a Chinese-made computer known as the Vmega PC 9300. Between 2006 and 2008, he primarily used a PlayStation 1 before receiving his first Intel-based personal computer in 2009.

During his early years with computers, he worked entirely offline. One of his earliest creative projects was a simple game created in Microsoft PowerPoint 2003. The game was inspired by the Detective Conan series and featured the Black Organization as its main theme.

In 2010, Karim gained internet access and created his first online accounts. He initially wanted to use the username karimpotter, but after finding it unavailable, he chose karimpotter2010 instead. His first email account was created with Yahoo Mail using the username karimpotter2010.

According to Karim, the name "Karim Potter" was inspired by a nickname given to him by one of his classmates, who often called him "Harry Potter."
