Kallang Bus Interchange is an upcoming air-conditioned bus interchange currently under construction in Kallang, Singapore. Located beside Kallang MRT station, it will form part of the Kallang Integrated Transport Hub (ITH) within the HDB Kallang Horizon mixed-use development. The development comprises 477 Build-To-Order (BTO) flats and a range of community amenities, creating a seamless blend of residential and transport facilities.

History

[edit]

In August 2022, the Housing Development Board released a map showing the location of an upcoming housing project right beside Kallang MRT station, which indicates a proposed bus interchange within the site.[1] The project was launched in November under the name Kallang Horizon.[2] The following year, an artist's impression of the exterior of an "urban transport hub" within the Kallang Horizon development was unveiled.[3] An infographic released by the Land Transport Authority for the nearby Kallang Breeze housing development that same year indicates a "Future Kallang Bus Interchange".[4] Kallang Bus Interchange was mentioned again in the Urban Redevelopment Authority's Master Plan 2025, as one of the four upcoming Integrated Transport Hubs.[5]
