Joseph Irungu Waithira aka Joe Waithera (born 6 November 1996) is a Kenyan footballer who plays as a striker for South Sudanese prmeier league side Jamus FC.[1]
Career
[edit]Joe featured for Thika-based Mumbi Nationale FC in 2018 before making a move to Wazito FC. In mid 2018 he moved to top tier side Nakumatt FC but at the end of the season he was back at Wazito who were chasing for promotion from Kenya's second tier, the National Super League (NSL). [2]
From Wazito he moved to Sofapaka in February 2021[3][4][5][6][7] and exited the club midway through the 2022-23 Kenyan Premier League season, in Janaury 2023, to join Coastal based side Bandari.[8][9]
Thereafter he landed at Muranga SEAL ahead of the 2024-25 season where he became a standout in his second season after being named the 2025-26 Kenyan Premier League top scorer with 19 goals - against a target of 20 goals[10] - and two assists prompting his move to Jamus in South Sudan.[11] [12][13]
