John Albert Fogleman[1] (November 5, 1911 – March 10, 2004) was an associate justice of the Arkansas Supreme Court from 1967 to 1980, and Chief Justice in 1980.
Born in Marion, Arkansas.[2]
Fogleman was accepted at the University of Arkansas at age 15 and studied law at the University of Memphis. He practiced law in Marion, Arkansas and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Fogleman worked extensively with the Arkansas Bar Association and he served as its President in 1958. He was elected as an Associate Justice in 1967 and served until he was appointed as Chief Justice in 1980. Fogleman served for one year before retiring in 1981.[2]
