Comment: Please note that people do not get Wikipedia articles just for standing as candidates in elections. Per WP:NPOL, the inclusion bar for politicians is holding a notable office, not just running for one, while unelected candidates are considered notable as politicians only if they already had preexisting notability for some other reason that would already have gotten them an article anyway.
So he would have to win the seat, not just run for it, to get an article on the basis of his political activity, and otherwise you'll need to show that he already cleared a different notability standard for some other reason besides his candidacy. Bearcat (talk) 21:02, 25 September 2026 (UTC)
Jesse Battles is a Republican[1] politician from Ivalee, Alabama. Jesse Battles will run for Alabama's tenth district seat, but as an Independent politician, as he was seemingly removed from the Republican ballot with little to no reason stated.[2] Jesse Battles is a seventh-generation Northeast Alabamian,[3] who prioritizes small businesses and improvement in local agriculture. His wife is named Melissa Battles, and he has one child, his daughter Olenna, who was born in January, 2026.[4]
