Lovespun is the professional name of Jenni Svoboda, an American 3D digital fashion designer and Roblox user-generated content (UGC) creator based in Texas.[1] She designs virtual clothing and accessories for Roblox avatars and has worked with brands and public figures including Carolina Herrera, Karlie Kloss, Tommy Hilfiger and Forever 21.[1][2]
Career
[edit]Lovespun began creating custom designs for video games including The Sims and Second Life in the mid-2000s, and later moved to Roblox.[1]
In September 2022, Lovespun created a digital version of the yellow floral gown Karlie Kloss wore in Carolina Herrera's Spring/Summer 2023 show at New York Fashion Week. Kloss's avatar wore the dress on Roblox as part of her Fashion Klossette designer showcase.[3][4][5] The 432 copies of the item, priced at 500 Robux (about US$5) each, sold out within four hours, and resale prices later reached about $5,000.[2][5][6]
MIT Technology Review profiled Lovespun in December 2022 as one of a group of Roblox "metaverse fashion stylists", describing her aesthetic as "Barbie-core, Y2K" and "fantasy pink", and noting that she also offers paid avatar-styling services based on clients' tastes and favorite influencers.[2] That month, Elle UK included her in a feature on young women designers on Roblox.[7]
