Dr James P Mahon is a media academic.[1][2], researcher [3][4], broadcast journalist [5][6]and author from Ireland based in the UK. [7][8]

His academic research explores digital media trends and the ethical dilemmas they pose for educators, employers and students of media and journalism. [9][10][11][12] Mahon's fieldwork and case studies have been presented at a number of national and international conferences [13][14][15]. and been featured by the Royal Society of Edinburgh [16] and shared by the Scottish government [17].

Asides from written academic outputs, Mahon also creates research led documentary films [18][19] and podcasts[20][21] and has completed a PhD in mobile journalism [22].
