Jake Nolan (born 2006) is an Irish hurler and Gaelic footballer who plays as a centre-forward at club level with Kildavin/Clonegal and at inter-county level the Carlow senior hurling team.
Career

[edit]In his underage career Nolan played Gaelic football for Kildavin/Clonegal and hurling for nearby Burren Rangers with whom he won the Carlow Minor 'A' Hurling Championship in 2023.
2024
[edit]In Nolan's first year of playing at adult-level he won the Bolger Shield (Intermediate Hurling League) on 25 May in a victory over Carlow Town at Dr Cullen Park. In his first championship campaign he played a key role in helping Kildavin/Clonegal reach the Carlow Intermediate Football Championship final where they unfortunately came up short against Fenagh in the decider in a 1-14 to 1-06 defeat.[2] The same opposition that Nolan had scored 4-2 against in the group stage of the competition.[3]
2025
[edit]Nolan's impressive performaces for his club in their route to the 2024 IFC final led to him being named in the 2025 Carlow senior football panel. Later that year, in the group stage of Carlow Intermediate Hurling Championship Nolan scored 3-3 against in a 3-18 to 3-21 defeat at home to Mount Leinster Rangers. Despite his best efforts, Kildavin/Clonegal failed to advance to the semi-finals as they finished 5th in a group of 7 and lost out to neighbours Burren Rangers in a pivotal and rather ill-tempered final group game at Spellman Park. In the subsequent Carlow Intermediate Football Championship K/C failed to reach back-to-back the deciders losing out to Ballon by 2-13 to 2-10 in the semi-final despite 0-4 from play by Nolan.[4]
2026
[edit]On 21 March Nolan made his debut for the Carlow senior hurling team against Dublin in the final round of the National League where he scored a point with his very first play.[5] In the Joe McDonagh Cup final defeat to Laois in Croke Park Nolan came off the bench with 20 minutes to go replacing Donagh Murphy of Mount Leinster Rangers.[6]
