Intelbroker
[edit]Inside Darknet conducted an early interview with the cybercrime threat actor known as IntelBroker prior to the actor’s wider public notoriety on BreachForums.[3]
The interview was later referenced in a 2025 criminal complaint filed by the United States Department of Justice, which stated that investigators reviewed a German-language YouTube video titled “9; IntelBroker” featuring an interview with an individual claiming to be IntelBroker.[4]
Open-source intelligence researchers writing for OSINT Team later referenced the Inside Darknet interview when examining IntelBroker’s self-reported background and public claims.[5]
ShinyHunters
[edit]In January 2026, Inside Darknet published an interview with an individual identified as a member of the cybercriminal group ShinyHunters.[6]
The interview addressed the group’s activities, internal structure, and relationships with other cybercrime collectives. Academic research examining the ShinyHunters ecosystem has cited primary interviews with group members as part of broader analyses of contemporary cybercriminal networks.[7]
Reception
[edit]In January 2026, Inside Darknet was named “Podcast of the Month” by an independent cybersecurity podcast review publication, which highlighted the program’s access to primary interviews with individuals involved in cybercrime activity.[8]
The cybersecurity publication IT Daily referenced the podcast’s IntelBroker interview in its reporting on the threat actor, describing the interview as notable for its early timing and direct access to the subject.[9]
Production
[edit]Inside Darknet is independently produced. The podcast has been affiliated with the open-source intelligence collective Not The Hidden Wiki (NTHW), which has provided platform support and promotion for selected episodes.[10]
