Hossein Mohebbi (born 1960) is an Iranian brigadier general currently serving as Spokesperson of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps since 2026, succeeding his predecessor Ali Mohammad Naini who was killed during 2026 Iran war. Mohebbi is also serving as Head of Public Relations within the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. [1][2][3]
Early Life
[edit]Prior to his appointment as the official spokesperson and head of public relations for the IRGC, he served for over a decade as the deputy for culture and propaganda within the Office of the Supreme Leader's Representative in the IRGC , a critical role he held starting in March 2015. Mohebbi oversees official miltary briefings and handles International Communications, notably leading high-stakes public diplomacy initiatives such as the rollout of the IRGC 25-page open letter targeting U.S. midterm voters.[4][5][6]
