Horizont is a Serbian post-metalcore band from Belgrade. The band is distinguished by a recognizable and modern sound that combines heavy guitar riffs, a dynamic rhythm section, atmospheric electronics, and highly emotional vocals, creating a unique and powerful atmosphere.[1]
History
[edit]Horizont was formed in Belgrade in 2024, when the band began regularly releasing original music. Their musical style represents an energetic fusion of alternative metal and post-metalcore, featuring lyrics that often explore deep, introspective themes.
Particular attention is drawn to the band's lead vocalist, Danica Prodanović, who brought significant musical experience to the group, having represented Serbia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 under the stage name Nina with the song Čaroban.[2] Her melodic and powerful vocals provide a distinct character and an excellent contrast to the band's heavier musical foundation.[3]
Their first official single, Daljine, was released in June 2024. Later that same year, the song Vekovi was released.
During 2025, the band released the singles Pesak, Svetlost, and Greh.
In 2026, the band released the singles San and Planeta. The Serbian music portal Headliner wrote about the release of Planeta, highlighting the vocals of singer Danica Prodanović.[4] The band was also featured in a new music roundup by Serbian Metal.[5]
