From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

HitPay is a Singapore-based financial technology company that provides payment services for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Asia-Pacific region.[1][2][3] It is licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore as a Major Payment Institution.[4] The company participated in Y Combinator.[5][6]

History

[edit]

HitPay was co-founded in 2016 by Aditya Haripurkar as a digital wallet, then later pivoted to a small and medium enterprise-focused virtual point of sale product in 2018.[2]

In August 2021, HitPay joined Y Combinator's S21 cohort.[5][6]

In September 2021, HitPay raised $2.7 million in seed funding, led by Global Founders Capital, with participation from HOF Capital, Y Combinator.[7]

In May 2022, HitPay raised $15.8 million in Series A funding, led by Tiger Global, with participation from Global Founders Capital and HOF Capital.[8]

In February 2023, HitPay was granted an Operator of Payment System license by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.[9]

In December 2023, HitPay launched its mass payout services, allowing businesses to pay workers, contractors, partners, and suppliers efficiently through their platform.[10]

In June 2024, HitPay was granted a Major Payment Institution license by the Monetary Authority of Singapore.[11]

In March 2025, HitPay partnered with NPCI International to support the acceptance of India's Unified Payments Interface in Singapore.[12]

In October 2025, HitPay partnered with Triple-A to enable stablecoin payments for businesses in Singapore.[13]

In April 2026, HitPay announced that it had reached $2.5 billion in annualized payment volumes while focusing on small and medium-sized businesses rather than large enterprises.[1]

Products and services

[edit]

HitPay provides online and in-person payment acceptance, invoicing, recurring billing, and e-commerce payment integrations for businesses.[2][14][15] In January 2026, the company introduced Borderless QR, a service for accepting QR-based payments from visitors using overseas payment schemes, including GrabPay, WeChat Pay, PromptPay, GCash and DuitNow.[16][17]
