History
[edit]HeiTech Padu was incorporated on 5 August 1994. The company was subsequently listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities on 20 November 2000.[1]
The company's origins are associated with Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB), whose information technology arm was developed into a technology company. In 1998, the management team led a management buy-out of PNB's IT arm. By 2000, the company was restructured and listed on the main market of Bursa Malaysia as HeiTech Padu Berhad.[2]

[edit]In April 2024, HeiTech Padu was awarded a RM190.01 million contract by the Road Transport Department of Malaysia (JPJ) for maintenance and technical support services for information and communications technology infrastructure and the MySikap system at JPJ offices and its data centre.[4]
The contract has a duration of 36 months, commencing on 1 May 2024 and ending on 30 April 2027.[4]
National Integrated Immigration System
[edit]In October 2024, HeiTech Padu secured a contract from the Immigration Department of Malaysia for the National Integrated Immigration System (NIISe). The contract was initially valued at RM892.19 million and covers the study, design, development, supply, installation, testing, integration, data migration and synchronisation, commissioning, change management and training for the project.[5]
In October 2025, the contract value was revised to RM1.05 billion following an amendment to the contract. The contract period remains from 18 October 2024 to 17 October 2029.[6]
Sungai Perak Hydroelectric Scheme
[edit]In February 2025, the Voith-HeiTech Consortium was awarded a contract by TNB Power Generation Sdn. Bhd. for the life extension programme of the Sungai Perak Hydroelectric Scheme. The contract covers engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning works, including electrical, mechanical and associated civil works for the Temengor, Bersia and Kenering power stations.[7]
The overall contract was valued at €291.43 million, equivalent to approximately RM1.04 billion at the time of the announcement. HeiTech Padu's portion was valued at RM902.96 million.[7]
The project covers the modernisation and life extension of the Temengor, Bersia and Kenering hydroelectric power stations in Perak.[8]
Financial and corporate information
[edit]According to its 2025 annual report, HeiTech Padu reported revenue of RM651.2 million and had 1,239 employees. The company had paid-up capital of RM173.5 million and total assets of RM975.4 million at the end of 2025.[1]
The company's shares are listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities under stock code 5028 and stock name HTPADU.[1]
