Harry Humphreys

A National Sevens player for the Gibraltar Rugby National Sevens Team. Having represented Gibraltar in their inaugural Rugby Europe tournament.

Early life and education

Harry Humphreys was born in Chelsea, London. He moved with his family to Gibraltar, where his father, Gareth Humphreys, was working. Humphreys attended Loreto Convent School in Gibraltar before returning to the United Kingdom, where he attended Homefield Preparatory School and RGS Surrey Hills, formerly known as Box Hill School. He subsequently attended Godalming College before enrolling at the University of Exeter. [1]

In rugby, Humphreys was involved with the Harlequins Developing Player Programme (DPP) and represented Surrey. He also played with the Ultimate Rugby Sevens Academy before being called up to represent Gibraltar.

Career

Harry Humphreys is studying Law at the University of Exeter. Alongside his studies, Harry is also a Rugby Union Player, alongside Rugby Sevens, where he performs for Campion 7s, the Gibraltar-based Sevens team. For Rugby Union, Humphreys plays for Richmond F.C and Gibraltar, where Humphreys was part of the first ever Rugby Europe squad to represent Gibraltar in Kosovo, who came Second.

In Rugby Sevens, Humphreys was part of the Gibraltar team that competed in the Rugby Europe Sevens Conference competition in Kosovo, representing Gibraltar in their first appearance in the competition. The team finished second in the tournament, recording Gibraltar's highest-ever result in the Competition.

Harry Humphreys also represented Gibraltar in the first ever official European Rugby Win against San Marino.[2]
