[edit]

HSS DIY is a UK multi-channel retailer that specializes in tool hire and material selling for DIYers and traders. HSS been in the industry for over 50 years and now, it has transformed and rebranded into HSS ProService Marketplace.[1]

History

[edit]

Founded in 1957 by Bert Taylor[2], HSS DIY was initially known as The Hire Services Company and it solely focused on tool and equipment hire.

SGB owned eight tool rental shops under the name Hire Shops Limited. These company names were later merged to create Hire Service Shops Limited or HSS Hire for short.[3]
