HERATIKS (pronounced "heretics") are a British electronic music duo formed in Somerset, England, consisting of record producers and DJs Justin Krause and James Wiggans.[1] The group produces tech house and house music.

History

[edit]

HERATIKS was formed in October 2024 by Justin Krause, based in Bridgwater, and James Wiggans, based in Weston-super-Mare.[1] Prior to the project, Krause had worked as an international DJ.[1]

The duo's debut single, "Drop Tha Spot", was signed to Data Transmission's sub-label dt weapons in late 2024.[2] In July 2025, the track was featured on BBC Introducing in the West.[3] Following its commercial release in August 2025, the track reached number 23 on the Traxsource Tech House chart.[2]

In 2026, HERATIKS released a follow-up single titled "Hands Up High" on dt weapons, which reached number 55 on the Traxsource Tech House chart.[4] That same year, the duo produced official remixes for Charlie Big, Shanie and Lizzie Curious.[5] Their remix of "Read My Lips" reached number 1 on the UK Music Week Commercial Pop chart.[6] A subsequent remix for "Rub-Ah-Dub" reached number 3 on both the Music Week Commercial Pop and Upfront Club charts.[7]

The duo has performed at UK venues and events including Ministry of Sound in London, the ECHO Boat Party on the River Thames and the Grand Pier in Weston-super-Mare.[1][8]
