Guangzhou Fosun Chancheng Hospital (Chinese: 广东药科大学广州复星禅诚医院), also known as Guangzhou Xinshi Hospital (Chinese: 广州新市医院), is a general hospital in Baiyun District, Guangzhou, Guangdong, China.[1]

History

[edit]

The hospital was established in Baiyun District, Guangzhou in 2003.[2]

It became a non-directly affiliated hospital of Guangdong Pharmaceutical University in 2009 and operated under the name Guangzhou Xinshi Hospital (The Third Affiliated Hospital of Guangdong Pharmaceutical University).[3]

Fosun Health agreed to acquire a 70% stake in Guangzhou Xinshi Hospital for RMB 809.2 million in November 2021. The transaction valued the hospital at approximately RMB 1.16 billion. At the time, the hospital had 800 approved beds, more than 30 departments and over 900 employees.[1]

The hospital adopted its current Chinese name in December 2023, 广东药科大学广州复星禅诚医院, while continuing to use Guangzhou Xinshi Hospital as an alternative name.[2]

Medical services

[edit]

The hospital operates departments covering internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, oncology, emergency medicine and rehabilitation medicine, among other specialties.[4] It has developed services for international patients, including patients from Bangladesh and other Asian markets.[5]
