Grace Charlotte Enger (born July 22, 2002) is an American singer-songwriter. At the age of 10, Enger was inspired by Taylor Swift's "Red," which sparked her interest in music.[1] Her journey into writing and recording music began with her attendance at the Aspire: Five-Week Music Program at Berklee on scholarship during high school, which solidified her desire to pursue music[2]. Following the program, at the age of 16, she released her first song, "Body."[3]
In an interview with The Harvard Crimson, Enger described songwriting as "a form of an alchemy," referencing her second EP, "The Alchemist."[4] The title track of the EP reflects a profound personal and emotional transformation, shaping the sonic and lyrical themes of the EP. Enger draws inspiration from female singer-songwriters such as Sara Bareilles, Alanis Morissette, and Hayley Williams.[4]
Enger has opened for artists like Laufey, Maisie Peters, and Lexi Jayde[5][6] and contributed background vocals to the Goo Goo Dolls' song "Save Me From Myself" from their 2022 album, Chaos In Bloom.[7] She has also written songs for other artists, including Rod Wave[8], Sadie Jean[9], and Dylan Conrique.[10][citation needed]
Personal Life
[edit]Grace Enger was raised in Hoboken, New Jersey. Enger's mother is Joan Enger, the founder of J. Partyce & Co., a residential interior design company.[11] Enger studied at NYU's Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music for two years. During this time, she gained significant attention on TikTok with a short clip of her unreleased song "19 and Lonely."[12] After leaving school, Enger relocated to Los Angeles and released her debut single, "The Neighborhood," on October 7, 2022[13].Grace is roommates with Stella Lefty, they have written many songs together and Grace appeared in her live video performance of "Boston" with Youtube Music.
Grace was shouted out on John Mayer's SiriusXM radio station for her song "Undiscovered" following the release of her album Satisfied Girl. He complemented her songwriting stating that he was pleasantly surprised by the melody and structure of the song, calling it sophisticated, and complemented the chord progression.
Grace has shared her love of pickles and polka dots.[1] She lovingly refers to her fans as Neighbors, in reference to her single "The Neighborhood, and describes them as "Kind, creative, [and] devout."[14]
it's so fun tour (2025)
[edit]In 2024, Enger released "Good Stuff" with Jake Minch, who opened for her on her "it's so fun tour" in 2025[15]. During this tour, Enger partnered with I Support The Girls to distribute essential items to underserved communities and organizations. When speaking with Harvard student Xinran (Olivia) Ma, she claimed, "If I can gather this many people for my music, how much good can we do if we multiply that by 20 cities, by 500 people in each city?"[16]
The "it's so fun" tour started in San Francisco, California and ended in Santa Ana, California. She played 19 shows in 17 different cities in the USA and two shows in Canada. [17][18] It started on February 19th, 2025 and ended March 21st, 2025.[18]
