Gowri Savithri (born 11 April 1985) is an Indian model, actor, writer and producer from Kerala. She has appeared in Malayalam-language media and has been featured in news coverage related to transgender representation in the arts.[1][2]
Early life
[edit]Gowri Savithri was born in Cherthala in Alappuzha district, Kerala. In interviews, she has spoken about her experiences related to gender identity and the social challenges she faced during her early life.[1]
Career
[edit]Gowri Savithri began her career in modelling and later appeared in film and media projects.
She appeared in the Mazhavil campaign in 2016.[2] She featured in a Karalkada fashion campaign.[3]
Savithri acted in the film Pixelia, which was selected for screening at the Kolkata International Film Festival.[4]
In 2024, she published a memoir titled Gowreepadham.[5] In 2025, she published a novel titled The Last Piece of Banana Chips with DC Books.[6]
