History

[edit]

The studio was founded in 2000. It is one of the oldest studios in the Gameloft group, alongside Gameloft Montreal and Gameloft Barcelona, who were also founded in 2000. While Gameloft Bucharest currently has around 289 employees they only started with just 16 employees.[5] They initially focused on developing mobile games and ports of existing games on mobile devices. During the 2000's, Gameloft Bucharest developed and contributed to dozens of mobile games, including games from major series like Prince of Persia, Might and Magic and Brothers in Arms.[6]
