Furlandia is an annual furry convention held in Portland, Oregon, United States. Founded in 2013, the event celebrates anthropomorphic art, performance, and community activities associated with the furry fandom. The convention is typically held during Memorial Day weekend and features panels, performances, vendor spaces, and dance events.
Furlandia is organized by RainFurrest Anthropomorphics International, a nonprofit organization that produces anthropomorphic arts events in the Pacific Northwest. Attendance has increased significantly since the convention’s founding, reaching 2,724 attendees in 2025.
History
[edit]Furlandia was founded in 2013 in Portland, Oregon as a convention celebrating anthropomorphic art and culture.[1]
The convention was founded by members of the Pacific Northwest furry community and is organized by RainFurrest Anthropomorphics International.[2]
Earlier conventions were held at the Sheraton Portland Airport Hotel.[3]
Beginning with the 2026 event, the convention moved to the Hyatt Regency Portland at the Oregon Convention Center.[4]
Programming
[edit]Programming at Furlandia includes panels, performances, dances, and community events focused on the furry fandom.
The convention hosts vendor areas including a Dealer's Den and Artist Alley where artists sell artwork and related merchandise.[3]
Other events include a fursuit parade featuring costumed attendees and furry dance competitions.[4]
