Fulchand Shastri (born Fulchand Kishorbhai Hejam; 25 July 1981) is an Indian spiritual speaker, author, and founder of the Adhyatmik Sadhana Kendra in Umarala, Bhavnagar, Gujarat, India. He is associated with the study and dissemination of Jain philosophical literature, particularly Atma Siddhi Shastra, a 142-verse Gujarati philosophical work composed by Shrimad Rajchandra, who was a spiritual influence on Mahatma Gandhi.[1][2][3]
In 2014, Fulchand founded the Atma Siddhi Shastra Mission. The international initiative focuses on the preservation and dissemination Atma Siddhi Shastra through presentations to national libraries, educational institutions, diplomatic missions and other organisations in countries and territories around the world.[4] The Travelers' Century Club lists him as a Platinum Member, a category for members who have visited 250 or more countries. He was additionally honored as an "IBR Achiever" by the India Book of Records for travelling to Indian Embassies and High Commissions across 50 countries, including the USA, Singapore, Australia, Congo, Nigeria, Bhutan, France and Venezuela, among others, to spread spiritual messages; and for achieving 10 certificates and awards for being part of the Atma Siddhi Shastra Mission.[1][5][6][7][8]
Early life and education
[edit]He developed an interest in Jain philosophy and spiritual literature at an early age. He pursued formal studies in Jain philosophy at the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur, where he earned the degree of Shastri, alongside a Master of Arts (MA) degree.[1][9] Influenced significantly by teachings from the lineage of Shrimad Rajchandra and Kanji Swami, his early life set the foundation for a lifelong dedication to self-realization, scriptural interpretation, and spiritual awakening.[2]
Spiritual career
[edit]Fulchand has delivered lectures on Jain philosophy, self-realisation, peace, non-violence, and veganism, with many of these lectures available online through his official website and YouTube channel.[1][10] He has advocated veganism and non-violence towards animals and other living beings.
In 2009, he delivered a continuous discourse in Mumbai for 78 hours titled “Chaitanya Chamatkar” (Miracles of the Soul).[1][11][12] He has also conducted spiritual shibirs and guest lectures across major international organizations and academic platforms, including the Jain Center of America (JCA) in New York[13] and the Jain Society of Metropolitan Chicago (JSMC).[14][15][16][17]
Atma Siddhi Shastra Mission
[edit]In 2014, Fulchand established the Atma Siddhi Shastra Mission. The mission centers on Atma Siddhi Shastra, a 142-verse Gujarati philosophical poem traditionally described as having been composed in approximately 90 minutes by Shrimad Rajchandra.[1][18][19][20]
The treatise explains core spiritual doctrines, including the existence and nature of the soul, bondage, self-realization, and liberation.[11][17] Its reach has been documented in various global publications and library records.[21]
Under the mission initiative, physical copies and translated manuscripts have been distributed to institutions in various countries, including national and public libraries, university libraries, schools, colleges and correctional facilities, as well as Indian embassies, high commissions and consulates abroad.[19]
Adhyatmik Sadhana Kendra
[edit]Fulchand founded the Adhyatmik Sadhana Kendra (ASK) in Umarala, Gujarat, on 4 August 2014.[1][22][23]
Conceived as a dedicated institution for spiritual study, disciplined sadhana, and self-realization, the ashram and center host study circles, meditation retreats, and educational workshops centered around classical Jain texts and practical spirituality.[1][2] A key spiritual program conducted by the center is the Gyaan Deepak Prajwalan Atma Sadhana, designed to facilitate self-realization and structured scripture study for practitioners worldwide.[1][2]
Beyond intensive spiritual practice and scriptural discourses, ASK operates as a non-profit institution engaged in community and humanitarian welfare initiatives for economically disadvantaged residents in the surrounding region. These efforts include distributing essential provisions such as food grains, clothing, hygiene necessities, and educational materials.[2] Reflecting his philosophy that internal spiritual development should translate directly into compassion for humanity, his work is guided by core mottos such as:
