Final Destination 7 is an upcoming American supernatural horror film directed by Michiel Blanchart (in his English-language debut) and written by Lori Evans Taylor. It will be the seventh installment in the Final Destination film series, following Final Destination Bloodlines (2025).

Final Destination 7 is scheduled to be released in the United States on May 12, 2028.

Production

[edit]

Before the release of Final Destination 5 (2011), William Bludworth actor Tony Todd said that if the film were to be successful, two sequels would be filmed back-to-back.[1] Final Destination Bloodlines (2025) co-director Adam Stein noted that the film's narrative potential remained open-ended, stating: "Death's work is never done. There are always more scores to settle".[2] He acknowledged, though, that the creative process takes several years.[3] Perry also expressed openness to continuing the Final Destination franchise, noting that Bloodlines had expanded the creative flexibility of the series.[4]

A seventh Final Destination film was confirmed to be in the works in August 2025, with Lori Evans Taylor set to return to write the script.[5] In October 2025, Michiel Blanchart had been hired to direct the film.[6]
