Fátima Lianes (born 6 August 1977) is a Spanish film director. Her work has been broadcast by Al Jazeera English, Movistar Plus+, and HBO Max. Her credits include The Iraqi 8^[1] for Movistar Plus+ and Battle of Culiacán: Heirs of the Cartel for HBO MAX ^[2].

Methdology

Lianes has worked primarily in observational documentary filmmaking. Her productions have used interviews and on location footage rather than narrator led exposition, with participants’ accounts forming a central part of the narrative.^[3]^[4]
