Comment: Consider making a page about F&F Co. instead? Not clear at the moment that this record label under it is notable. CherryPie94 🍒🥧 (talk) 05:17, 31 July 2026 (UTC)

F&F Entertainment is a South Korean record label and entertainment agency established in November 2022.[1] The company operates as a wholly owned music production and talent management subsidiary of the multinational South Korean clothing retail conglomerate F&F Co., Ltd.[2] It is headed by chief executive officer Choi Jae-woo, a veteran music producer and former programming director at Kakao Entertainment.[1]
History and business model
[edit]The firm was conceived under F&F Chairman Kim Chang-soo as an industry diversification project to leverage the parent corporation's massive international fashion retail footprint and supply chain network into the cultural K-pop content landscape.[2] The parent company launched the enterprise with an initial direct capital injection of 2 billion won.[1]
Unlike traditional South Korean entertainment agencies that rely on multi-year trainee development cycles, F&F Entertainment adopted a broadcast-centric venture strategy, collaborating with public networks to instantly build consumer fandoms.[2] In 2023, the agency partnered with national broadcaster SBS to co-produce the global survival show Universe Ticket.[3] The program formed an eight-member international group, UNIS, who signed an exclusive two-and-a-half-year contract managed by the firm.[3]
Market analysis and financial performance
[edit]The company's corporate entry has been the subject of extensive retail and market analysis due to its distinct structural divergence from conventional K-pop industry models.[2] Financial media reports outlined that despite significant structural backing from its fashion parent entity, the agency faced considerable market challenges during its initial operational phases.[2]
Industry analyst reports from Chosunbiz highlighted ongoing operational deficits tied to low domestic television viewership ratings for its audition program, which impacted early monetization and generated persistent operating losses during its first two years of market entry.[2] In response to these financial bottlenecks, the agency modified its deployment strategy for its late-2024 audition program Universe League, utilizing a sports-franchise draft model to stimulate engagement and mitigate initial entry losses.[2]
