Ewa Chodakowska is a Polish fitness trainer, author, media personality and entrepreneur. She became known in Poland through home workout programmes and later developed business ventures connected with online training, diet services, food, cosmetics and sportswear-related projects.
Fitness and media career
[edit]Chodakowska became publicly associated with home fitness programmes in Poland in the early 2010s. Her communication with fitness audiences has been discussed in academic literature. A 2015 article in the Baltic Journal of Health and Physical Activity analysed her language and style of interaction with followers in the physical activity market.[1] A 2016 article in Progress in Health Sciences examined marketing and public relations techniques used in promoting the "Ewa Chodakowska method"; the study was based on a questionnaire completed by 1,005 respondents familiar with her programmes.[2]
In June 2014, Chodakowska took part in the Warsaw fitness event "all in for #mygirls" at Legia Warsaw Stadium. Interia reported that the event involved a large open-air group workout and that Chodakowska set a Guinness World Record during the event.[3] In 2017, Viva! reported that she and Lefteris Kavoukis led another large group fitness event during the final of BeActive Tour, connected with a Guinness World Record attempt in holding the plank position.[4]
Chodakowska has also appeared in television and online media formats. In 2019, she was a juror on the TVP programme Dance Dance Dance.[5] In 2024, she co-hosted the TVN programme Razem OdNowa with Joanna Krupa. Press reported that the programme was watched by an average of 534,000 viewers.[6] In 2026, Press reported that she would host Ocal siebie, a monthly video podcast for the YouTube channel of Viva!, with conversations about self-acceptance, mental health and wellbeing.[7]
Business activities
[edit]Chodakowska's business activity has been covered by Polish business media. In 2019, Money.pl analysed financial documents of companies belonging to Chodakowska and her husband Eleftherios Kavoukis. According to the article, revenue from their main companies increased from 22.08 million złoty in 2017 to 25.74 million złoty in 2018, while profit decreased from 16.43 million złoty to 14.10 million złoty.[8]
In 2020, Wprost wrote that Chodakowska had appeared on its list of the 50 richest Polish women since 2017. The magazine reported that she was then a co-owner of nine companies listed in the Polish National Court Register, operating in clothing, cosmetics, food and diet catering.[9] The same article identified BeBio as a central company in her business activity and linked it with BeActive TV, the BeBio shop, fitness equipment, books, DVDs, cosmetics and food products.[9]
Financial results of BeBio were also reported by business media. In 2020, Business Insider Polska, citing Wirtualne Media, reported that BeBio, owned by Chodakowska and Eleftherios Kavoukis, recorded 14.89 million złoty in sales revenue and 4.68 million złoty in net profit in 2019.[10]
Chodakowska has also been linked with food-sector investments. In 2022, Business Insider Polska reported that Rafał Brzoska and Chodakowska were shareholders in FoodWell, a company formed from the merger of Bakalland and Purella, and that the company planned to exceed 1 billion złoty in annual turnover by 2026.[11]
Brand partnerships and public projects
[edit]In 2024, Wirtualne Media reported that Chodakowska had started a collaboration with CCC Group connected with the Reebok brand. The article said that she was to be involved in co-creating Reebok collections, rather than only appearing in brand communication.[12]
In February 2026, Wirtualne Media reported that Chodakowska and her foundation initiated the social campaign Pokochaj swoje ciało. Ocal swoje życie ("Love your body. Save your life"). The campaign concerned public discussion of obesity and opposition to the stigmatisation of people living with obesity, and was supported by the Philanthropic Consortium and the Omenaa Foundation.[13]
