EYEMATES Foundation for Research and Development
EYEMATES Foundation for Research and Development is an Indian Section 8 non-profit organisation based in Kottayam district, Kerala. The organisation works in the areas of professional social work, community well-being, community health, education, livelihood promotion, research and development, and institutional support for social organisations and voluntary groups.
The foundation was incorporated as a Section 8 company under the Companies Act, 2013, in February 2025. It operates from Uzhavoor in Kottayam district, Kerala.
History
The origins of EYEMATES can be traced to an initiative started by social worker Shiju John Chollampel in 2015. A professional social work agency operating under the EYEMATES name was subsequently established in 2018.
The organisation was registered under India's Udyam Registration system as a micro, small and medium enterprise in 2020. EYEMATES Foundation for Research and Development was incorporated as a Section 8 company in 2025 to undertake non-profit activities.
Organisation
EYEMATES Foundation is governed by a board of directors. Shiju John Chollampel serves as founder-director and chairman, while Jijomon Rajan is a founder-director.
The organisation's activities include professional social work interventions, community-based programmes, educational initiatives, livelihood-related activities, research and development, and technical or institutional support for non-profit and voluntary organisations.
The foundation also works with community groups and other social organisations in programme planning, organisational development and implementation support.
