EBC Financial Group is an online retail foreign exchange and contract for difference (CFD) brokerage group.[2] Although the company presents itself as based in London, it operates primarily from Hong Kong and mainland China. It is controlled by Qin Huazheng, with licensed subsidiaries in the United Kingdom and Australia and offshore entities in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and the Cayman Islands.[3]

The group's United Kingdom entity, EBC Financial Group (UK) Ltd, is a private limited company incorporated in England and Wales on 9 March 2020. Its registered office is at The Leadenhall Building, 122 Leadenhall Street, London, and its Companies House classification is "financial intermediation not elsewhere classified".[1]

Corporate structure

[edit]

The group's UK entity, EBC Financial Group (UK) Ltd, was incorporated in England and Wales on 9 March 2020 as EBC Financial Group Limited with an office in London, and renamed on 29 September 2023.[1] Companies House lists the company as active and records its company number as 12503674.[1] The Australian entity, EBC Financial Group (Australia) Pty Ltd, has been registered as an Australian private company since May 2017.[4]

Operations

[edit]

Public partnership material describes EBC Financial Group as operating in online trading, asset management and investment consultation.[2] FC Barcelona stated in 2024 that the group had offices in financial centres including London, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Sydney, the Cayman Islands, Singapore, Bangkok and Limassol, and that it served retail, professional and institutional investors.[2]

The same announcement said the partnership covered foreign exchange transactions, trading, brokering including CFDs, and advisory services.[2]

Regulation

[edit]

EBC Financial Group (UK) Ltd appears on the UK Financial Conduct Authority's Financial Services Register under firm reference number 927552.[5]

In Australia, ABN Lookup identifies EBC Financial Group (Australia) Pty Ltd as an active Australian private company and links the entity to ACN 619 073 237.[4] The Australian Securities and Investments Commission states that its professional registers can be searched by company name, registration or licence number, ACN or ABN to check whether an organisation is registered or licensed to provide a financial service.[6]

In November 2025, FX News Group reported that EBC Financial Group SA (Pty) Ltd had received approval from South Africa's Financial Sector Conduct Authority as an authorised financial services provider.[7]

EBC Financial Group has also been involved in educational and social-impact partnerships. In April 2024, United to Beat Malaria, a campaign of the United Nations Foundation, announced a partnership with EBC Financial Group to support malaria prevention and health services.[8]

In October 2025, the University of Oxford Department of Economics announced a "What Economists Really Do" webinar on global financial literacy sponsored by EBC Financial Group. The department described the event as the third collaboration involving EBC and the department.[9]
