EA Romania is a Romanian video game development studio owned by Electronic Arts and based in Bucharest.[1]
The studio was founded in 2005 as JAMDAT Mobile Romania until becoming part of Electronic Arts after the acquisition of JAMDAT Mobile.[2][3] EA Romania is mostly known for its work on the FIFA and EA Sports FC football series, which it develops alongside EA Vancouver.[4][5]
The studio's games include FIFA 17, FIFA 18, FIFA 19, FIFA 20, FIFA 21, FIFA 22, FIFA 23, EA Sports FC 24, EA Sports FC 25, EA Sports FC 26 and EA Sports FC 27. EA Romania has also been involved in the development of FIFA Mobile.[6][7]
History
[edit]Initially established in 2005 as JAMDAT Mobile Romania, Electronic Arts the same year announced its plans to buy JAMDAT Mobile for approximately $680 million, with the transaction expected to bring JAMDAT's mobile games business within EA.[2] EA Romania would later became closely associated with the FIFA series, working alongside EA Vancouver on the development of the franchise.[9]
