Despicable Me 5 is a potential American animated film produced by Ilumination and Universal Pictures and Distributed by Universal. It will serve as the sequel to Despicable Me 4 (2024).

[edit]Chris Renaud hints that Despicable Me 5 is "possible" if a fresh story can be crafted for the Despicable Me franchise's future.[1] Steve Carrell tells Yahoo UK that he'd be more than happy to head up a new film in the franchise. He even has some ideas of what he'd like to see in the sequel, though he's always ready to defer to the creative team's judgement on the matter.[2]
