David E. Wolff is an American civil trial and appellate attorney whose practice is focused on complex fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, construction, real estate and commercial litigation disputes.[1][2][3] Wolff served as lead Plaintiff's counsel for various publicized Florida cases involving real estate and fraud disputes.[4][5][6]
Education
[edit]Wolff graduated with honors from the University of South Carolina in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami School of Law in 2013,[7] where he was a finalist in the Charles C. Papy Moot Court Competition, and received highest honors in pretrial, trial, and business litigation skills.
Industry and community involvement
[edit]Wolff has authored several publications and written extensively in legal periodicals on the topics of appellate practice, fiduciary duty, trustee duties, and trustee compensation. These publications include the cover feature of the Florida Bar Journal in February 2016 on appellate practice,[8] a publication on fiduciary duty in the Florida Bar Journal in January 2018,[9] a publication in the Florida Bar Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Section Journal in 2024, and a publication in the American Bar Association Journal on Trustee Compensation in May 2025.[10]
Career
[edit]Wolff has achieved several multi-million dollar judgments for his clients,[11] [12] and has represented clients on appeal in several published appellate decisions in obtaining new trials or affirming million dollar judgments.[13][14][15][16][17] Wolff is also an active and respected member of the academic community, having lectured at the University of Miami School of Law on the subjects of appellate advocacy and upper-level legal research and writing.[18] David was also ranked as one of the top 25 junior tennis players in the United States, top 10 in the state of Florida, and was rated a 5 star recruit by the tennis recruiting network[19] before attending the University of South Carolina on academic and athletic scholarship and achieving All SEC Academic Status.[20]
