Daniel Woodhall (born 10 December 1987), commonly known as Danny Woodhall, is an English former professional footballer and physique model. [1]
As a footballer, he played as a goalkeeper and was part of the senior squad at Rochdale AFC, having previously spent time with Walsall, Manchester United, Burton Albion and West Bromwich Albion.[2][3]
Football career
[edit]Early career
[edit]Woodhall spent seven years with Walsall.[2]
In July 2003, Woodhall joined Manchester United from Walsall[3], joining the squad for the Northern Ireland Milk Cup (now SuperCupNI). He was part of the Manchester United squad that won the Premier Section of the tournament.[4]
Following his return to Walsall, Woodhall had spells with Burton Albion and West Bromwich Albion before joining Rochdale.[2]
Senior Career
[edit]In November 2004, Woodhall joined Rochdale on a two-year contract.[5][2]
Woodhall broke into Rochdale's senior squad during his first season, aged 16,[6] and remained with the first-team squad for the 2005–06 season as a goalkeeper alongside Matt Gilks. He wore squad number 28.[7]
In 2005, Woodhall started for Rochdale in the Lancashire Senior Cup final, keeping a clean sheet as Rochdale defeated Bury 1–0 at Spotland to win the competition.[8]
Woodhall remained with Rochdale until the end of the 2005–06 season.[9]
Non-League football
[edit]After leaving Rochdale, Woodhall joined Team Bath while studying at the University of Bath.[10]
Following Team Bath, Woodhall joined Hednesford Town for the 2008–09 season.[11] He later had spells with Halesowen Town [12] and Bromsgrove Rovers.[13]
Post-football career
[edit]Following his football career, Woodhall transitioned into fitness and physique modeling. In July 2014, he worked as a physique model during the annual Attitude magazine Hot 100 Summer Party, which was hosted at the Paramount Bar and Events Space in London.[14]
Woodhall later moved into executive search and founded Twelve10,[15] an executive search firm focused on banking and financial services, with operations in the Cayman Islands.
