DZVG-TV (VHF channel 5) is a Philippine local television station airing programming from GMA Network. Owned and operated by the network's namesake corporate parent. Its hybrid analog and digital transmission facilities are located atop Mount Amuyao, Barlig, Mountain Province.^[1]^[2]^[3] Since March 2021, it has served as a relay station for GMA TV-10 Dagupan to broadcast its local newscast One North Central Luzon (formerly Balitang Amianan).^[4]^[5]

History

October 2009 - As originally planned in 2007,^[6] GMA Channel 5 relaunched its 5-kilowatt transmitter in Mt. Amuyao, serving audiences across Northeastern Luzon.^[7] Prior to that, it aired through the 1990s until it suddenly went off the air.^[8]
June 2013 - As originally planned in 2011,^[9] Channel 5's transmitter was upgraded was upgraded to 10 kilowatts of its transmitter output for wider coverage.^[10]
March 2021 - GMA Channel 5 began simulcasting on GMA TV-10 Dagupan (DZEA) along with other stations in Northern and Central Luzon to broadcast One North Central Luzon (formerly Balitang Amianan); and Mornings with GMA Regional TV (later cancelled).^[4]^[5]^[11]
March 2023 - Channel 5 began test broadcasting on digital terrestrial television via UHF channel 29.^[12]^[13]
