Comment: See WP:NORG and see in particular the section marked "corporate trivia". In the examples it is clear that sources relating to funding / VC are considered trivia, and that means that the article hasn't yet got the sourcing to show organisational depth. The sources are OK to verify the point about funding, they just don't contribute to notability. Codingal is an Indian online education company based in Bengaluru. Founded in 2020 by Vivek Prakash and Satyam Baranwal, the company provides online coding instruction for school-age students through live one-to-one and small-group classes.[1]
In 2021, Codingal participated in the Winter 2021 batch of Y Combinator.[2][3]
History
[edit]Codingal was founded in 2020 by Vivek Prakash and Satyam Baranwal. Prior to co-founding Codingal, Prakash was a co-founder and chief technology officer of HackerEarth, a developer assessment company established in 2012. Codingal launched its online edtech platform in September 2020.[3][1]
In November 2020, the company raised a seed funding round of US$560,000 led by Rebright Partners, Java Capital, and GSF Accelerator. Later that year, Codingal was selected to participate in Y Combinator's Winter 2021 accelerator program.[4]
In September 2021, Codingal raised a seed funding round of US$1.2 million, led by Y Combinator, Summer Capital, Day One Syndicate, and Rebright Partners.[1]
As of September 2021, Codingal hosted more than 100 programming competitions on its platform and received over 100,000 project and code submissions.[4]
In November 2023, Japanese venture capital firm Greenway Grid Global made a SAFE (Simple Agreement for Future Equity) investment in Codingal. The investment was intended to support the company's expansion into the Japanese market.[5][4]
Products and services
[edit]Codingal provides online coding classes for K–12 students through live one-to-one and small-group instruction delivered over video conferencing platforms. Its curriculum includes Scratch, Python, web development, artificial intelligence, and data science.[5][6]

Partnerships
[edit]Codingal has collaborated with organizations and educational institutions to conduct coding competitions for K–12 students, including Hewlett Packard Enterprise, the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, and the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.[7]
In March 2021, the Indian Institute of Technology Madras and Codingal announced a collaboration aimed at supporting computer science education at the school level. The initiative was publicized by the Ministry of Education.[8]
