Early life and education

Career
[edit]She started her solo career in 2019, recording the newly composed song Longing (그리움) with the accompaniment of the State Merited Chorus of the Korean People's Army.[4] The song was released at the time of the North Korea–USA Hanoi Summit and contains references to it in the music video, such as people watching news of Kim Jong Un's departure and a young boy marking the days of the visit on a calendar.
In early 2021, she began being associated with the newly estabilished Band of the State Affairs Commission, performing the song Best Wishes (축원) at the concert for the Day of the Shining Star.[5]
The same year, she was featured in several music videos of new songs performed by the band which were released on Korean Central Television, where she is also seen playing the piano.[1][6]
In February 2022, she performed at the Lunar New Year concert, singing together with People's Actress Kim Ok Ju. Official group photos taken after the concert picture her alongside Kim Jong Un and Ri Sol Ju.[7][8]
