Catherine Musakali is a Kenyan lawyer and corporate governance expert. She is the founder of Dorion Associates LLP and a former Company Secretary and Head of Legal at Vivo Energy Kenya (formerly Kenya Shell). Catherine Musakali was born and raised in Kenya. She studied law at the University of Nairobi, where she obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and a Master of Laws (LL.M). She also holds a Higher National Diploma in Law and a certificate in securities and investment from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI)[2]

  • Appointed to the Board of the Business Registration Service (BRS), a state corporation under the Office of the Attorney General of Kenya, in 2021.[4]

Musakali is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a Fellow of the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya (ICPSK).[9]

She spent over 15 years at Kenya Shell Limited (now Vivo Energy Kenya), where she served as Company Secretary and Head of Legal. In this role, she oversaw legal and governance functions across multiple African jurisdictions, including Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Morocco, and Egypt.[10]

Earlier in her career, she established the legal department at UAP Provincial Insurance Company and represented the firm at the Association of Kenya Insurers.[10]

She later founded Dorion Associates LLP, a Nairobi-based firm specializing in governance advisory and commercial legal consultancy.[9]
