CONNETIX is an Australian toy company that produces magnetic construction tiles used for open-ended play and educational activities. The company was founded in 2019 in Perth, Western Australia, by Brea Brand and Dave Alexander.[1].

History
[edit]CONNETIX was founded in 2019 by Brand, a primary school teacher with postgraduate qualifications in early childhood education and a business degree in marketing, and Alexander, who has a background in engineering and entrepreneurship[4].
The founders met through their children’s primary school and developed the idea after observing how children interacted with magnetic construction toys[1].
The business reportedly began on a small scale, operating from a garage before expanding through online sales and toy retailers. By the early 2020s, the company’s products were distributed internationally through hundreds of retail partners and sold in more than 50 countries[1].
In 2026, co-founder Brea Brand was nominated for the Western Australian of the Year Awards in the Business category in recognition of her work growing CONNETIX into an international educational toy company[5]
