Boredhome

Boredhome is a Filipino Indie Band from Bacolod City, Philippines that formed in 2024 consisting of Dion Arquisola (guitars, synths), Antonie Jambonganan (vocals, bass), Samantha Sopalanca (vocals), Yancin San Agustin (vocals, drums), and Lei Ikeda (guitars, keys). The band first gained exposure through fellow friends from other bands based in the Negros Island such as Doughbaby, Caña, Papercups, and more. Their first ever single "Sunlight" was released on July 23, 2006, the same day as Arquisola's birthday.

They are known for playing shows at local bars, small venues, events and malls like the Ayala Malls Capitol Central.[1] They are also known for having an indie sound reminiscent that of wave to earth, IV Of Spades, and Harry Styles. The guitarist and songwriter, Dion Arquisola and their friend Alessandra Miel Sampaga has been nominated several times in Film Festivals like Sine Negrense celebrated by Negros ever year.

Biography

Boredhome was started on the night of the 20th of July, 2024 by two friends, Dion Arquisola & Antonie Jambonganan. They started the band wanting to make music like the artists they look up to. They then invited their friends and went on to perform their first show on the McDonald's Masskara Stage in Lacson Street, Bacolod City.

Career

Focusing on schoolworks as the three bandmates, Dion, Antonie and Samantha are Nursing Students in University of St. La Salle. [2] They choose to focus on recording songs rather than performing gigs around the city.
