Benard Awuko is a Ugandan information technology professional and university educator. He works in higher education and has worked in telecommunications-related fields. He has contested the Oyam County South parliamentary seat as an independent candidate in the 2021 and 2026 Ugandan general elections.

Education and academic career

Awuko studied telecommunications engineering at Kampala International University. He then worked in higher education and supervised student academic projects. A Kampala International University project report acknowledges Awuko Benard as one of the supervisors of a student project on an intelligent voice-controlled wheelchair.^[1]

In September 2026, Awuko returned to Kampala International University as a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Information Technology, School of Mathematics and Computing. Political activity

Awuko contested the Oyam County South parliamentary seat as an independent candidate in the 2021 Ugandan general election.
