Bad Bridgets is an upcoming historical crime film written and directed by Rich Peppiatt, starring Daisy Edgar-Jones, Emilia Jones, Colin Farrell, Steve Coogan, Charlie Heaton, Domhnall Gleeson, Himesh Patel, Niamh Algar, and Simone Kirby. It is based on Bad Bridget: Crime, Mayhem, and the Lives of Irish Emigrant Women by Elaine Farrell and Leanne McCormick.

Production
[edit]In October 2025, it was announced that Rich Peppiatt would write and direct Bad Bridgets, a film adaptation of the novel Bad Bridget: Crime, Mayhem, and the Lives of Irish Emigrant Women; Additionally, Daisy Edgar-Jones and Emilia Jones were set to co-star.[1][2] In March 2026, Edgar-Jones dropped out due to scheduling issues and was replaced by Alison Oliver.[3] In May 2026, Netflix acquired worldwide distribution rights to the project.[4] Colin Farrell, Steve Coogan, Charlie Heaton, Domhnall Gleeson, Himesh Patel, Niamh Algar, and Simone Kirby joined the cast in June 2026, with principal photography scheduled to begin in July in Northern Ireland with filming also taking place in the Republic of Ireland.[5][6]
