AutogenAI is a software company that was founded in 2022 by Sean Williams. Sean previously founded and served as CEO of Corndel Ltd, where he scaled the business from the ground up to a team of 350.

AutogenAI was started to help companies writewriting bids, tenders and sales proposals [1][2], with a particular focus on the public sector.[3] Their first headquarters were in London before expanding into Australia and the US shortly after.

Sean Williams secured venture capital funding from investors including Blossom Capital, Salesforce Ventures and Spark Capital[4][5] In July 2023, the company raised $22.3 million in funding led by Blossom Capital.[6] In December 2023, it secured $39.5 million in a Series B funding round co-led by Salesforce Ventures and Spark Capital.[7]

Products and Technology

[edit]

AutogenAI is a cloud-based platform that uses generative AI to support bid professionals to draft procurement proposals.[8]

The purpose is to support bid and proposal teams to qualify, manage, write, research, review and submit proposals.[9] Bloomberg has described the company as part of a broader trend of adapting generative AI systems for use in regulated and documentation-intensive environments.[10]. The use of LLMs in proposal writing has exploded in recent years, and AutogenAI ensures that large FTSE 250 companies have all the security that they need to be confident they can use it. For example, GovCon companies in the US often require FedRAMP certification.

The company has also been cited in reporting by the Financial Times on the use of artificial intelligence in workplace roles, including prompt engineering and automation of business processes.[11]

Recognition

[edit]

AutogenAI has been included in Sifted's rankings of Artificial intelligence startups and business-to-business software companies.[12][13] The company has also appeared in The Sunday Times 100 Tech list of fast-growing technology companies.[14]

They are trusted by over 300 large businesses. The company has also appeared in industry lists of emerging technology firms, including a Top 50 AI Startups in London UK 2026 ranking that profiled AutogenAI as a Generative artificial intelligence for bids.

AutogenAI has also been included in a Top 20 UK startups list highlighting companies developing AI-driven tools intended to simplify and enhance bid and proposal writing.[15]
