Artsakh Jazz Orchestra (Russian: Джазовый оркестр «Арцах») is an Armenian jazz big band founded in 2003 in Stepanakert.[1] According to published cultural sources, the orchestra was established and has been led by pianist and conductor Tigran Lalayan.[2]

The orchestra has participated in jazz festivals and concert programs in Armenia and abroad.[3]

In 2024, the orchestra resumed activity in Yerevan following a period of interruption, according to cultural media reports.[4]

Formation

The orchestra was founded in 2003 in Stepanakert as a jazz big band. Published cultural sources and interviews reference the involvement of Tigran Lalayan in its establishment and artistic direction.[5][6]

State affiliation

In 2005, the orchestra received state ensemble status and operated as a cultural institution in Artsakh.
