Aquino Bañaria Plotado is a Filipino entrepreneur and film producer based in the United Arab Emirates. He is the founder of Aquino Plotado Real Estate International and Aquino Plotado Film International.[1][2]
Early life and career
[edit]Plotado was born in the Philippines and later moved to the United Arab Emirates. In an interview with Dubai OFW, he said that he initially studied nursing but did not complete the degree. Before moving into real estate and film production, he worked in the Philippines as a Jollibee service crew member and call-center agent, and subsequently worked in the hospitality industry in the United Arab Emirates.[3]
Plotado moved to the United Arab Emirates in 2011. He subsequently held positions in the hospitality and entertainment sectors before entering real estate.[3]
Real estate
[edit]Plotado has worked as a real estate broker in the United Arab Emirates. In June 2025, Gulf News reported that he had arranged a real estate project valued at approximately AED 1 billion on Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah in collaboration with fäm Properties and Francesco Ferretti.[1]
The same year, Plotado received the Billion Dirhams Deal Maker Award at the Emirates Real Estate Awards.[4]
Film production
[edit]Plotado entered film production with the short film As the Call, So the Echo, produced through Aquino Plotado Film International. The film starred Enzo Pineda and was directed by Rusty Palacio Guarin.[2]
At the 11th Emirates Film Festival, Pineda received the Best Actor award and Guarin received the Best Director award for the film. The film was also nominated for Best Film and Best Child Actor.[5]
In July 2026, Plotado received the Best Film Producer award at the 12th Emirates Film Festival for his work on As the Call, So the Echo.[5][6]
Philanthropy
[edit]Plotado has supported educational programs in the Philippines through the Aquino Plotado Philanthropy Foundation. In March 2025, he donated ₱1 million to Potrero National High School in Malabon City, his former school, and provided printers and a sound system for the institution.[7]
