Anthony K. Chow (Chinese: 鄒果慶) is a Malaysian-born businessman who has served as chief executive officer of Newegg Commerce, Inc. (NASDAQ: NEGG) since 2019.[1][2] He previously held executive roles at Newegg from 2006 to 2011, and later worked at OTTO Group's China business and Haier Group before rejoining Newegg.

Chow holds a bachelor's degree in electrical and electronics engineering from the University of Toledo and an Executive Master of Business Administration from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.[3][4]

Career

Chow first joined Newegg in an executive capacity in 2006, overseeing North American operations and later the company's China operations, including its OZZO Logistics subsidiary, until 2011. [5]He then worked as an executive at OTTO Group's China business and at Haier Group Corporation.[5]

Chow rejoined Newegg as chief executive officer in 2019, when the company's annual sales had fallen to about $2 billion[2]. He negotiated new supply agreements with Taiwan-based component manufacturers Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, and ASRock.[2] Newegg reported sales growth of approximately 38 percent in 2020.[2] In May 2021, Newegg completed a reverse merger with Lianluo Smart Limited and began trading on Nasdaq under the ticker symbol NEGG, at a reported valuation of approximately $3.9 billion.[6]

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Newegg continued fulfilling customer orders while several competitors experienced shipping delays; trade publications attributed this to the company's geographically distributed supply chain.[7][8] The company also reported increased customer demand during this period for products such as webcams and laptop computers used for remote work. In 2021, Chow received the Los Angeles Times B2B Publishing CEO of a Public Company Leadership Award. [1]

Professional affiliations

Chow was elected to Newegg Commerce, Inc.'s board of directors on August 9, 2025, filling a vacancy created by the resignation of company founder Fred Chang.[4] He is listed as a member of the UCLA Anderson Forecast Board of Advisors. [9]

Corporate developments

Under Chow, Newegg repositioned its in-house Advanced Battlestations (ABS) brand of pre-built computers toward the gaming market.[10] In 2025, the trade publication TechPowerUp reported that most of Newegg's initial stock of Nvidia GeForce RTX 50-series graphics cards sold within minutes of release.[11]

According to the Chinese business publication PEdaily, Newegg's China-based subsidiary, the e-commerce platform SellingPilot, received an industry award in 2025.[12] Newegg's China operations were also named an outstanding cross-border e-commerce enterprise by the Shanghai Cross-Border E-Commerce Association in 2022,[13] and received a foreign-trade enterprise award at a national cross-border e-commerce forum, according to a report republished on the Baidu Baijiahao platform. [14]
